i think its a bit unfair, the whole "gay thing" everyone has been throwing over opeth. its not theyre fault that theyre overrated. what happens is emo cunts hear their accustic mellow stuff and start freaking out and then tell MTV n shit then Opeth gets all kinds of attention and faggotry in their hair and then they continue to go with the flow of the faggy songs (like alot of the ones from watershed and deliverance) so as not to crack under the pressure thats been put on them.
i strongly suggest yall give a listen to Morningrise, Orchid, or Blackwater Park.
theyre quite awesome, just overrated. but that aint their fuckin fault!

but really lots of gay faggots and scene chicks like them and it sucks. But I've liked them even before they got relatively popular
Their acoustic and mellow stuff is meh but I love the progressive and death metal influences in their earlier albums
I love Still Life, and other good albums
Fuck those cunts who give this band a bad name
They are great musicians, even though they can get boring

First off you mean Damnation(their girly acoustic mellow album) not Deliverance ( their awesome metal album)
Deliverance has awesome songs like Wreath, Masters Apprentices, and Deliverance so yeah
And what faggy songs are on Watershed besides Coil and Burden
A lot of the other songs are half decent, and I like burden haha

ya i meant "Deliverance" lol i get those 2 confused. i used to be (porbably) a bigger fan than YOU, but i havnt listen to opeth in SO long. (i like listening to them in the Fall season though.) i have their full discogrophy, including singles and live albums all except for watershed and Roundhouse Tapes.
my favorite album will always be Morningrise or Blackwater Park. and i dont have a problem with their mellow songs, some of them are quite nice like 'dirge for november' or 'windowpane', etc...
but yea, seriously whats with the opeth hate? they are overrated as hell, but still fuckin awesome.

Yeah that's true they are still a really good band
I love their entire catalog, but I have to say Still Life and Blackwater Park are my favorites :mrgreen:
